Brendon Mason
Manassas, VA | University of Virginia '09
Brendon Mason returns to the Cape for his third summer singing with the Hyannis Sound. He’s a baritone/bass and is 23 years old.
Brendon has been involved with music his entire life. His passion for music was fostered by his parent’s impromptu living room dance parties, the advent of the mp3 file, high school choir and a general curiosity about how some singers could just be SO GOOD.
Brendon attended the University of Virginia and graduated in May 2009 with degrees in Music and Economics. During college, Brendon sang with the all-male, “University of Virginia Hullabahoos,” where he handled many administrative responsibilities including managing their social networking websites.
Brendon was first introduced to Hyannis Sound by his third-year college roommate, and now Hyannis Sound Alumnus, Patrick Lundquist. After listening to the group, he came to the conclusion that the group must be made up of super-humans and that he would be extremely lucky to ever be a member of the group. Now that he is a member of the group he realizes that the group is made up of these very super-humans and he’s trying to become one.
While Brendon finds a lot of joy in music, he is also interested in things you would expect any 23 year old to be interested in, including cartoons, video games and when animals, babies and inanimate objects speak during TV commercials/movies (Exp. E-Trade Baby Commercials). Alright, so maybe you wouldn’t expect a 23 year old to be interested in those things…he’s a kid at heart.
Brendon would like to thank his Mom, Dad (and his many sets of surrogate parents) for years of guidance, patience and love.
Mason hails from Manassas, VA, and will be moving to Boston to pursue a graduate degree at Boston University this upcoming fall. His birthday is July 31.
