What are you up to now?:
I'm a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps pursuing a career in combat arms and Naval Aviation. I wasn't issued a wife or kids, so I still have small amounts of disposable income and time. I'm currently stationed in Quantico, Virginia but will soon be in Pensacola, Florida for flight school for a couple years. I love filling any time I have with a variety of sports, outdoor activities, movies, riding my motorcycle, and any form of musical experience or enjoyment I can get my hands on.
Has HS affected the general trajectory of your life? If so, how?:
As any alumnus will tell you, you do not leave HS the same person you were when you entered. As a member of Hyannis Sound I learned more and had more unique experiences than one could possibly fathom or write about in a book of less than one thousand pages, though I'm working on it. The friendships that come from being in the group are incredible and the brotherhood you become a part of is lifelong. My desire to push myself, attain the unattainable, and value those around me who help me to do so was multiplied many times over through the Sound.
Tell us about your favorite on-stage moment...:
Alumni shows with 50+ guys are always an incredible experience. Also, any time hyperactive, zero-attention span, child-like "adults" who haven't seen each other in months or years and are all hopped up on chocolate milk get together on stage, magic happens...sort of.
What is your favorite HS transportation moment?:
Well since transportation is half the job, there are many to choose from. Some of these would include Paul and Krista being pulled over 4 times within an hour for the same head light being out, Cooper driving to the wrong side of the state of Massachusetts...with 5 other guys who are somehow all asleep and unaware they are traveling in the opposite direction of the gig, picking up Nate Tao on my motorcycle from the air port when he first arrived on Cape because there was definitely no other way to get him back to the house, and any time Seth's car made it to its destination.
What was your craziest HS tour adventure?:
Nothing crazy ever happened to me or anyone I know during my tenure in the Hyannis Sound...can I lower my right hand now? ...but if it did, it may or may not have happened in or around Chatham or any part of the Lower Cape, Outer Cape, Upper Cape, Inner Cape, Over Cape, Under Cape...you get the idea. Does the current group beating the alumni in the annual Frisbee game 2 years in a row count as an HS tour adventure? Oh, and singing the National Anthem at Red Sox games was not boring.
What is your favorite HS recording?:
It's impossible to pick one; Shenandoah (Boot 7), Why Should I Cry For You (Boot 7), I Can't Make You Love Me (Boot 5), basically everything on 110, On The Clock, or Shirt Tie, Khaki. That's just one favorite right?
