Jared Graveley
West Hartford, CT  |  University of Connecticut '17

Jared Graveley is beyond happy to be back on Cape for his third summer with the Sound! Serving as Music Director for his second summer in a row, he’s thrilled to bring what he’s learned from both last summer and his time at UConn to the summer experience.

Jared began his musical career at the age of 7 with the cello, but now primarily sings and conducts. He’s been honored with musical leadership roles starting in high school, with the co-ed a cappella group Be S#arp. A recent graduate of the University of Connecticut, he co-directed the all male a cappella group the Conn Men, as well as held leadership roles in select choral ensembles there.

Most recently, he’s participated in the 2016-2017 concert series with Voce, a professional choral ensemble based in Hartford. The series culminated in a concert with renowned composer Paul Mealor, in which Jared sang the second movement of the world premier of the song cycle “Shine Forth a Path of Stars”, and was selected to sing the Baritone solo in “In The Bleak Midwinter”, an American premier.

In addition to music, Jared loves fitness, cooking, philosophy, board games, dry humor, and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Jared would like to thank his family, friends, and professors, and mentors for their continued encouragement and support, and can't wait to see what another summer has in store with the amazing family that is Hyannis Sound!
