What are you up to now?:
I just got off a cruise ship where I was singing in a quartet. We started in Alaska and sailed all the way through the Panama Canal to the Caribbean. Now I'm back on land searching for the next adventure. I also have been singing with Firedrill! for a few years now. The group is made up of 6 other Hyannis Sound alums. We've traveled a bit, sung the Anthem at Fenway and most recently won the 2009 CARA award for Best Pop/Rock Album.

Has HS affected the general trajectory of your life? If so, how?:
I've made so many life long friends through being in The Hyannis Sound. I've also had many adventures with these guys including living in Africa with a couple other alums. The Hyannis sound was a big part of my life and continues to be a source of great memories and reunions.

Tell us about your favorite on-stage moment...:
My favorite on stage moment, though tough to choose, would have to be the time in '94 we opened up for The Mamas and Papas at the Barnstable County Fair. We were scheduled to go on at this crappy little stage far away from anything. We found out where The Mamas and Papas' trailer was and Sasha being Sasha said, "I'm just going to knock on the door and ask if we can open for them". He knocked on the door, talked his magic and 5 minutes later he came out and said, "Papa John Philips wants to hear a couple of songs". So we all cram into the trailer and basically audition for him. He liked us and said we could open for them. Turns out Papa John is a nice guy, we talked to him a bit and he told us some rock and roll war stories, this just weeks after he got a new liver. No joke. Anyway, that night we went on the main stage and in front of about 5,000 people sang 2 songs. I think one of them was "Wham". What a rush, biggest crowd I had ever sung for. "Fun for the whole fun".

What is your favorite HS transportation moment?:
My favorite Hyannis Sound transportation moment is Darren's 21st birthday. At the time it was my worst transportation moment, but looking back now it was pretty funny. So we got Darren really drunk and on the way home he was feeling sick so we opened all the windows. We were all crammed into Dave's Grand Jerokee and I was in the way back with Mikey B. Darren is in the front passenger seat. Anyway he ends up booting out the window. Because we were going 60 down the highway, the boot blew back in the back window and swirled around the whole car ending up all over us. Mikey did it end up in your mouth or mine? Either way we all start screaming and Sasha pulls the car over at a gas station on rt6. We all get out and Dave starts booting. We clean our selves off as best we could and head home where another story starts....Rob? Good times.

What was your craziest HS tour adventure?:
Can't remember a crazy tour moment that is appropriate to post, but it involves writing a song about skulls.

What is your favorite HS recording?:
My favorite HS recording is Franklin and Franbil of course. No actually it's probably Route 6.
