Marc Whittington
Hanover, NH  |  Wesleyan University '13

Marc Whittington will be singing with the Sound for the first time this summer, and could not be more excited! Marc is a bass from Hanover, NH, and will turn 21 this October.

Marc attends Wesleyan University, where he has has just finished his sophomore year. He is double majoring in History and Music, and hopes to graduate sometime before 2025. He sings with the Wesleyan Spirits at school.

Marc's musical experience began in his living room at the tender age of 1. On cozy summer nights (or, eventually whenever they had the time), his whole family would squeeze in around the piano while his mother played and sang Disney songs. Eventually, his twin sister, Rebecca, and he joined in singing, as well as his younger sister, Miriam. Later, Marc (and his sisters) sang in many choirs through Elementary, Middle, and High School, and joined the co-ed a cappella group "DaChords" at Hanover High.

It was through his singing with DaChords that Marc was introduced to the Hyannis Sound. His freshman year, a friend of his suggested opening for the local Hyannis Sound concert in Lyme, NH, which was during their Spring Tour. Marc was blown away by the solos, arrangements, and musicianship present in the Sound, as well as the amount of fun that they seemed to be having. After that, he made it his goal to get into the group, and after 5 long years of waiting, finally succeeded! Marc is thrilled to have this opportunity and is thankful for all of the wonderful people who make this experience so special.
