Winter Tour 2012!

Miss summer yet? We do, so we're coming down to Cape Cod to recreate a little summer magic with our seventh annual Winter Tour! So brave the rather temperate winter weather and come listen to some Hyannis Sound classics to ease the winter blues. We'll be on Cape for the following dates:

Friday, Feb. 10 @ 7 PM
St. Joan of Arc Church
61 Canal Road, Orleans

Saturday, Feb. 11 @ 8 PM
St. Christopher's Episcopal Church
625 Main Street, Chatham

Sunday. Feb 12 @ 2 PM
First Congregational Church
68 Main Street, Falmouth

We are all so excited to get back on Cape and sing, so please some out and see us! Who knows what kind of surprises may come out of these shows...you won't want to miss them!

2012 Auditions!

We will be holding auditions this Spring for all voice parts the weekend of March 16th-18th in Boston, MA (location TBA).

Preliminary auditions will be held on Friday March 16th and Saturday March 17th, with callbacks on Sunday March 18th. We ask that you prepare a verse and a chorus from 2 songs that you think best represent your voice, preferably differing in style or genre.

End of Summer

The end of summer is officially here. We're all packing our bags and heading off to our assorted schools, or else to real jobs in the cold, hard world.

We had a great summer and are very proud of the music that we put out and the work that we put into it. Thank you so much to all of our fans who came and supported us at so many shows. Thanks are in order as well for those of you willing to brave the flood of tears at our Final Show who came out to cheer us on. It was a memorable night for everyone in the group.

Make sure to keep checking this website temporarily throughout the offseason. We will have some pictures from Final Show up very soon, as well as details about Winter Tour, Auditions, and Spring Tour. Thank you, Cape Cod, for giving us the opportunity to have the best summer job and best life experiences that we could ever ask for.

Final Show Tonight!

Unfortunately, the Final Show of the Hyannis Sound 2011 summer season has arrived upon us. We will be singing for the last time this summer tonight in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Chatham. The concert will start at 8 pm. This wil definitely be the last show ever for Joe, and possibly some others in the group as well, so make sure to come out to Chatham and send them off with a blast.

Come early to get good seats, leave late for all the memories! Thank you so much to everyone for such an absolutely outstanding summer. We can't wait until we all come back for Winter Tour and get to see you all again!

One More Week of Shows

Your last chance to see the 2011 Hyannis Sound is quickly approaching! We only have 5 more shows left this summer, starting with our final weekly shows at each of the normal locations (Falmouth, Chatham, Brewster, Hyannis). Our special Final Show of the summer will be this Saturday at 8:00 in St. Christopher's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Chatham.

The Final Show will have an elongated second set, in which each member of the group sings a solo after another member gives a talk about him. Expect a very special performance.

Until then, if you would like to request to have a particular song sung at any of our weekly venues, you can simply tweet @TheHyannisSound with the song name and the day/location that you would like to hear that song. If you don't have Twitter, we are also accepting requests on our Facebook page.

What a weekend! We had about 30 alumni who showed up for our annual Alumni Show, and we did our best to make sure that the performance was as good as it possibly could be. There were about 550 people who showed up to see us sing. Here are a couple of videos from the show to whet your appetite:

Alumni Weekend!

Starting today, it is officially Alumni Weekend, one of the best weekends of the year for the Hyannis Sound. Alumni have already started flooding into the house, and we expect to see quite a few more by tomorrow night. In case you had forgotten, our alumni concert is tomorrow night, Saturday, August 6 at Barnstable High School. Tickets will be available at the door, but show up early if you want good seats! Please bring cash; we will not be accepting checks or credit cards at the door.

We're looking forward to the show and can't wait to see you all there!

Recording Week!

It's that time of summer-- the Hyannis Sound recording week has commenced! We've picked a couple of our favorite songs from the summer and are holed up in a house in Chatham. We're all chugging water and nursing our voices to death, hoping to create an album that can compare to everything that has come before us. If you would like to check out previous studio albums recorded by the Hyannis Sound, you can find and read about them in our Albums menu.

Special Show Tonight, 7/29

We have our normal Friday weekly show at the Federated Church of Hyannis on Main Street tonight, but we have some special guests coming to open up for us. "Lymelights," an all-girls a cappella group from Hanover High School, in Hanover, NH, has made the 4 hour drive down to Cape to sing at our concert. We first saw the group this past April during our Spring Tour in Vermont and New Hampshire. They impressed us quite a bit, so we asked them to bring their talent to Cape. We're very excited to be singing with them tonight.

If you can't make our show tonight, but want to see us perform don't forget our weekly schedule:
